A Brief Explanation

Every time a computer connects to the internet, it is assigned an IP address. This address is unique for every computer connected to the internet at any given time. Depending on the type of internet connection the user has, the IP address may change every time they connect or remain the same. IP addresses are sent to a website every time you load a web page (Thats how the website knows where to send the page back to). What we've done is make a note of which IP addresses visit which bars, then used a publicly available database to work out the most likely city for that IP address.

What this means is, we can map the approximate locations of visitors as shown above. Please be aware that the information shown is an estimate only - and only shown to the nearest city.
